Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM)

The STEM program topics integrate all aspects of learning including reading, writing and social studies. All students are engaged in hands-on science and math activities in their classrooms, which are supported by the resource labs: Science Lab, Math Lab, Lego Robotics Lab, and the Planetarium Classroom.

Through hands-on experiences building Lego robots, students develop skills in problem solving, critical thinking and teamwork. The Planetarium contains a 30 foot dome and full planetarium projector. Students at Poinciana participate in a variety of out of school field experiences connected to their in school instruction.
